eBay selling fees: the complete 2026 list
Every fee eBay can charge a US seller on a standard (non-store) listing, in one place — what it is, when it applies, and what it costs. Rates as of 2026 for most categories without a store subscription; store tiers and category exceptions differ.
The fees
| Fee | Cost | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Final value fee | 13.6% | Each sale, on the total amount of the sale — item price plus shipping — up to $7,500 |
| Final value fee (above $7,500) | 2.35% | Only on the portion of a single sale above $7,500 |
| Per order fee | $0.30 on orders of $10.00 or less, $0.40 above | Each completed order, on top of the final value fee |
| International fee | 1.65% | When the buyer's registered address is outside the US |
| Insertion fee | $0.35 | Per listing beyond your 250 free listings per month |
| Promoted Listings (advertising) | Your chosen rate | Optional; you pick an ad rate per listing, charged only on a sale from that ad click |
| Store subscription | Optional | Monthly subscription that changes the fee structure — not included in this list or in our calculator |
Worked example
A $25 item with $5 shipping, sold to a US buyer, no promoted listing, standard non-store account:
- Final value fee: 13.6% × $30 = $4.08
- Per order fee: $0.40
- Total: $4.48 — about 15% of the $30 order
If the buyer is international, add the 1.65% international fee (1.65% × $30 = $0.49), taking the total to $4.98.
What does not cost extra
- Your first 250 listings each month (zero-fee insertion)
- A separate payment-processing fee — payment processing is folded into the final value fee
- Photos (up to 24 per listing) and the eBay mobile app itself
